Fluoride Contamination and Water Quality Status

River fluoride contamination is one of public health problems. This study aims to determine the water quality status and analyses Cirarab River, Banten-Indonesia. Water sampling was conducted along from up downstream at eight (8) stations February June 2016. analyzed using SPADNS method STORET for determining status. Results show that average ranges 2-2.24 mg/L. The maximum concentration obtained in station 4 (3 mg/L) recorded April Based on World Health Organization’s (WHO) acceptable levels 1.50 mg/l, overall results heavily polluted. In some situations, there a need continuous monitoring warning drinking management resources minimize long term effects communities consuming, also policies are necessary achieve sustainable quality.
